An Update March 2021
Alibre and 4M
Over the past year we extended our CAD offering in a number of different ways, for Alibre we have two excellent FEA addons, FEM Designer (recently upgraded for Alibre version 21) and SimWise FEA for Alibre (part of the SimWise suite including animation).
Photo rendering, animation, virtual reality with Simlab Composer.
CAM with EZ CAM for professional machining and Alibre Workshop for hobbyists and model makers, what ever level you work to we have it covered
Today Alibre licences are easier to manage, many customers now have a mobility licence which automatically returns a licence to the licence server ready for the next computer. Without a mobility licence customers with current maintenance can access the Alibre licence server remotely and deactivate a licence, especially for those who travel or take their licences home from the office (remember those days)
Alibre Version 23 development is now underway and we are hopeful of receiving more news in the coming weeks as to release dates
2D AutoCAD alternative
In the past year we launched the 4M 2D AutoCAD alternative as there are occasions where 2D is the right fit instead of 3D.
3D Architecture CAD- BIM-MEP Engineering
Due to this success of 4M / 2D and the relationship with the business 4M we are now extending the offer with 4M to include the 3D architectural software for MEP engineering,
Modules include HVAC, Fire sprinkler systems, sanitation, electric, gas and lifts and not forgetting FINEGREEN.
FINE MEP software is not a competitive product to Alibre, it is complementary. 4M creates the 3D architectural drawings and models with engineering information, saves the 3D model in IFC the common BIM file format. and of course 2D DWG are available for working drawings, Alibre is for the mechanical design inside the 3D architecture envelope (space)
