Statement in full, received 8th October 2018
Dear customer, Alibre has learned that the Windows 10 October 2018 Update will cause errors with Alibre Design. We recommend not installing this Windows update until this issue has been resolved. In addition to issues with Alibre Design, this update has caused general data loss for many users during the update process and is not considered stable. Microsoft has now delayed the worldwide rollout of this update because of this data loss. The new Microsoft release date is currently unknown. How this Windows update affects Alibre Design: Alibre received reports that a few customers who installed this update saw two primary issues:
The ribbon interface in some workspaces is blanked out and unusable
Actions that involve the File Explorer, such as Save or Open, can cause an error
Steps Alibre is taking to address the issues related to Alibre Design Alibre is investigating the issues that pertain to Alibre Design and hope to have a resolution with Microsoft quickly. We will notify users that an update to Alibre Design is available.
