Aberdeen, Tuesday 13th September at 13.00hrs the seminar for reverse engineering and inspection with scan data is live.
Utilising a 3D desktop scanner, we will scan a component, rebuild a 3D CAD model, make changes for reverse engineering of the component.
For the second part we will use existing scan data of an object and use the inspection software Geomagic Control X to compare the scan data to the original CAD model and produce inspection reports.
For the third part we aim to discuss the possibilities with this technology for drone and underwater scans.
The software we use is Geomagic Design X, Geomagic Control X, Geomagic for SolidWorks.
