M-Files allows you to associate a document with as many different projects/customers/locations as you choose – all with only a single copy of the document.
I often work form home as do my employees- can I use M-Files from a home office?
Yes. M-Files is designed to be fast and responsive even over restricted bandwidth connections to ‘head office’.
I need to take documents with me when I travel – how does that work?
M-Files allows you to mark documents for ‘off-line’ working – the documents are held on your notebook hard drive and are automatically synchronised when you return.
I sometimes use a Mac- can M-Files work with Macs?
M-Files is a Windows application. However it has a Web Access module which makes all the benefits available via any web browser, including Mac, Linux etc.
Can M-Files be used to share documents with my customers?
Yes, the Web Access module can be used to share selected documents with external organisations. There is also a ‘Publishing Portal’ module to cope with more sophisticated requirements.
I’m a sole trader- can I afford M-Files and would I benefit from it?
Yes – definitely! M-Files is licensed per user, there is no large initial cost for the software. Your time is especially valuable if you have to do everything, so the benefits of using M-Files are even greater for the sole trader.
